 The purchase of the mattress is the first thing newly weds do.  However to ensure that it is able to provide service in an optimum manner, the mattress cleaning has to be done on a regular basis. The easiest way of mattress cleaning is toss it around. Only upside down flipping is not the solution. After this mattress should be left to dry and this would ensure completion of mattress cleaning. If the quantity of urine is large on the mattress, then mattress cleaning may not be complete only by using vinegar. Then mattress cleaning can be done by drying the vinegar from the surface. Once it is dried up then mattress cleaning can be done by pouring baking soda on the affected area and cleaning it with a dry brush. Besides urine if other liquid is dropped on the mattress it should immediately be wiped off as a first step in mattress cleaning.  The safest way to ensure mattress cleaning is by providing a covering to the mattress. This could be in the form of totally detachable covers, tied around by a zip. The cover ensures that the mattress cleaning is not resorted to as the cover is easy to pull off and clean.

Advantage of having a cover is that it checks entry of mites, and thereby ensures that mattress cleaning is not a frequent exercise to get rid of mites. Mattress cleaning has to be undertaken every six months even after a shell covering has been provided as the mites love the environment provided to them through the mattress. Mattress cleaning by a high powered vacuum can check the proliferation of mites. With the popularization of sleep number mattresses mattress cleaning has also evolved. Professional cleaning agents are in the market for mattress cleaning and their charges are nominal if the whole package of cleaning mattress, sheets and pillows is outsourced to them. If you have a baby at home then mattress cleaning has to be given top priority as the baby would be spending more than 18 hours in the bed.
